Jedi Religion

The Jedi Religion has a proud history stretching back for millennia.

Like Many religions, the Jedi Religion possesses a number of different sects, whose beliefs are often mutually contradictory. Jedi are proud that their doctrinal differences to not lead to genocide, pogroms, judicial executions or even routine murders. No Jedi has ever killed or persecuted another Jedi, or indeed anyone else on doctrinal grounds. Jedi like to contrast their record with that of Christians and Moslems, pointing out for example that tens of millions of Christians have killed tens of millions of other Christians, and that both Christians and Moslems routinely kill their own co-religionists, as well as each other, even in the twenty-first century.

As in other esoteric religions, Jedi theology is not openly taught to everyone - only to an inner elect. Even its organisation and hierarchy are reserved for the initiated.

A secret tradition teaches that many great thinkers belonged to the Jedi, among them Democritus, Lucretius, Hypatia, Voltaire, Thomas Hobbs, David Hume, Thomas Paine, Bertrand Russell and A J Ayer.

The Jedi religion does not enjoy any of the customary, legal, fiscal or constitutional benefits afforded to other religions. This site is dedicated to rectifying this anomaly, and ensuring that every such right and privilege enjoyed by any other religion should also be granted to the Jedi religion in every country on earth.
